Buttery Yellow gone Turquoise

Here is was my beautiful, buttery yellow, quilt used in our master bedroom.

I loved it until our cat decided to vomit several times in the middle of our bed, on top of the quilt.

So, I had no other choice but to bleach it to remove the stains.

Now it's no longer a buttery yellow, nor is it white.  It was just blah.

I had the brilliant idea to give it a makeover.  Turning "drab to fab."

Here's what I did.

Purchased 2 boxes of Royal Blue Rit Dye and a local quilt shop donated 2 boxes of Kelly Green.

Then went in search of a high power magnifying glass just to be able to read the instructions.

2 hours later.

"Presto - Change-o"

I now have a beautiful turquoise quilt.

What a fun and inexpensive way to get more life out of the quilt.
