Gift of Hope for Women of the Congo

The very inspiring Kerry MacMullin of Green Is Black recently shared this news with me, as her eco boutique in Toronto will be a sponsor for this upcoming, eye-opening event.

Women and Girls of the World will launch its project 'Gift of Hope' this weekend, in an effort to reach out to the silenced women and girls of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Through an eco fashion show and outreach event in Toronto on Saturday evening, October 17, Women and Girls of the World will aim to cultivate awareness and raise funds to aid the girls living on the streets of Kinshasha in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Gift of Hope will be launched at Gibsone Jessop Gallery, Distillery District Bldg. 4-55 Mill Street in Toronto. The event will feature unique eco chic designs from three Canadian eco fashion sources, Hempress, Green is Black, and Emua Fashions.
