Tuesday Shopping: Fry’s, Albertsons & Safeway

I hit up three grocery stores today to pick up some deals and necessities. 

Fry’s

 

• 2  Gallons Fry’s Milk $1.79
• 6 boxes Rice Krispies $1.68 – (3) $1/2 MQ and (1) $1/3 TQ ~$1.01 a box.
• 10 Kroger yogurts 10/$4

We always need milk and yogurt… I was most excited to find the new Kellogg’s/Cars promo on boxes of Rice Krispies.  You can redeem codes for various rewards including $5 Gas Cards or $5 Concession Cash with 4 boxes of cereal

That means each box is “worth” $1.25 in movie concession cash or gas cards… So I think paying $1.01 a box is a pretty good deal.  Sort of “free” cereal!

All of the boxes were good until April 2012…. I only bought 6 boxes, but I would totally stock up on these if I get a chance!

Safeway

I stopped by Safeway to pick up ingredients for a Summer Lasagna recipe I am trying.  I also grabbed 12 packs of Refreshe soda (Safeway brand) for $1.88.  I am pretty happy paying less than $2 a 12-pack  I also found cucumbers 2/$1!  And I grabbed a package of Oreros for our upcoming trip.

Albertsons

I made a quick freebie stop to Albertsons. I grabbed (5) pints of Breyer’s ice cream for $1- $1 Tearpad = free and (2) El Monterey 2-pack burritos – $1 MQ = free.  I have only found these burritos at Bashas and Albertsons.
