Linen Closet Organization

I am embarrassed to even show you all this, but I guess the truth hurts:(

I have a 12 foot linen closet and it looks like I just opened the doors and threw everything in.

 Here is how it looks after about an hour of cleaning.

I designated one half as a craft closet and kept the other half a linen closet.

I feel so much better now.  The before look was stressing me out.

Organizing the Pantry

It is 5ft. long and 4 feet wide.

I keep food, cleaning supplies, appliances, recyclables, and pet food here.

 Here is everything piled on the island from the pantry.  I can't believe there is that much stuff crammed in there.  The island is 9ft long and is completely full.

 These are the appliances that go in the pantry.  I have outlets in there and don't have to remove the appliance to use it.  (I hate clutter on my counter top)

 Everything removed and wiped down.  Now is the time to flip all the shelves over so they don't start to warp.  

 After:  Nice, clean, organized pantry.

Organizing my Makup Drawer

I decided to go through my makeup drawer today and get rid of outdated things, make a donate pile, and a keep pile.

 

This is what I stared with

and put back in the drawer.

2011 Organization

Welcome to my messy home office/guest room.  Today is the day I will move all my 2010 files to storage and start fresh with 2011.  Yeah!! no more paper cuts trying to cram one more receipt into its given file.  By December everything is so full that I actually look forward to getting it organized and fresh again.

Everything on my desk is current projects, so they will need to stay.

 Before:  Files crammed full.

 After:  Files cleaned out and new folders ready to start 2011.

Here they are all packed up ready to put into storage.  Will have to hang on to them for seven years. (The only thing I keep around for seven years is the Husband, The Kid, and Receipts for the IRS.)

 After: Clean and organized desk.

 After:  Guest Room portion clean again.  I hate washing all the bedding in this room, the only one ever on the bed is the dog.

I have an actual office, but it has been over run with shoes and accessories.  So it is now the shoe and jewelry room. Good thing I don't have many guests.  I spend a lot of time in the office.
