Plus Size Models Clothing

Plus Size Fashion ModelingSeveral years ago, plus size women searched and searched for trendy clothing, but there was none to be found. Fortunately, full-figured women rebelled against the monotony. Women of the world collaborated to reject the hideous, out dated clothing most retailers were trying to force upon us. Luckily, the fight for fashionable, plus size clothing was not in vain.

Due to the success of online stores offering plus size clothing, brick and mortar retailers comprehend that plus size women are a profitable target market. Retailers are realizing that a large number of customers need trendy, plus size clothing, as well as, the monetary revenues our segment yields.

Recently, female models market researchers estimated 61 percent of the United States' population is overweight. In addition, an estimated 50 percent of women wear a size 14 or higher. It is time that the fashion industry acknowledges that their perspective - "thin is in" - is unjust, because being plus size is not exactly out.

The growing popularity of full-figured women in the entertainment industry continues to support the notion that plus size modeling women are a permanent fixture. Not only are the curvy women of entertainment starring in blockbuster movies, but they are also choreographing and winning modeling contests on highly-viewed, reality shows. It appears that times are changing, and the future belongs to women of size.
