I am not really a faux animal skin accessory sort of person. Although I support vegan design and fashion through and through, I tend to gravitate towards cloth and woven bags, belts, and wallets even. BUT I sincerely think that these 'Hind shopper' totes by FREITAG meticulously crafted out of recycled truck tarpaulins are truly quite amazing. This is totally the sort of statement that I would want to make as a roving fashion week reporter and environmental activist.

The Power of Transformation: XZ of Eko-Lab Does The Project Runway Remake Challenge
You can now vote for XZ's fashion upcycling project on Project Runway's Remake Challenge featured on the popular sewing site, BurdaStyle. Winning this project will allow XZ and her partner, Melissa Kirgan of Eko-Lab, to acquire an industrial iron and steamer for their eco-conscious design lab on the Lower East Side in NYC.
Vote via this link and share the spirit of yesterday's cast-offs becoming tomorrow's eco-style essentials.
