Paris Fashion Week: 'Fashion Jewellery: Catwalk & Couture' by Maia Adams @ Colette

I missed yesterday's book signing for Fashion Jewellery: Catwalk and Couture by Maia Adams at Colette/Paris . Not an eco-focused design publication per se, but a resourceful spin nonetheless on couture jewelry trends and celebrated designers.

"Adams believes that the allure of fashion jewelry is an endless scope for re-invention and its applicability to different forms. The sheer range of materials, craftmanship, interpretations, philosophies and – importantly – humour, also make it endlessly fresh and exciting. Showcasing skilled craftsmanship, unusual materials and an often limited-edition approach, fashion jewelry harnesses the spirit of couture for the 21st century."

"The book features exclusive interviews with many of the designers profiled as well as stunning images of their work. Collaborations with leading fashion designers and brands such as Lanvin, Vivienne Westwood, Alexander McQueen and Comme des Garçons, as well as collections for directional fashion stores such as Colette and 10 Corso Como are all discussed."

Do not fret. If you cannot swing by Colette to pick up a signed hardcover copy, Fashion Jewellery will be available on Amazon.com by March 10, 2010. See you in April, Paris!
