NYFW: Risto Spring 2011 Lunar Luxury

Congratulations to Risto Bimbiloski for this stunning, otherworldly collection of lunar-luxe and celestial magic pieces shown at Exit Art on Friday late afternoon. The Macedonian designer has yet again demonstrated that his creative stardust translates beautifully to innovative textile prints, knitwear, and universal definitions of femininity. Even more star-studded? Risto continues to work with talented artisans and designers in his beloved, paradisiacal Macedonia. For me, this elevates him to superstar status.

Berlin Fashion Week: Risto Precollection S/S 2011

Risto Bimbiloski has done it again. Gorgeous textiles and fluid graphic knitwear of the most feminine variety. I first wrote about Risto's ethical fashion knits from Macedonia in 2008, and I just cannot say enough about this stellar fashion designer who also knows how to make galaxies, volcanic activity, sunsets, and, oh yes, the girls look so pretty and out-of-this-world gorgeous.

You can see the entire Risto Bimbiloski precollection for Spring/Summer 2011 in the following video from Berlin Fashion Week.

NY Fashion Week Fix: Risto Bimbiloski Fall 2010

vintage valentine circa 1860's

What's not to love about the texture and flow of Risto Bimbiloski Fall 2010. I adore that he still returns to his native roots in Macedonia for knitwear and handcrafted inspiration. It seems like eons since I reviewed his Spring/Summer 2008 collection for Inhabitat's sustainable style column.
