My Mother's Day gift.

A Compost Bin!!!!!

I know not everyone would be thrilled to receive a compost bin as a gift, but it is just what I wanted.  I left my old when when I moved and was missing it.

 I will park it in the middle of my garden, that way it can be dumped right where it sits.

Look what my Hubby surprised me with today.

It's a SONY BLOGGIE TOUH!

Now I can create video tutorials on the blog. 

It's a TS20 

With a handy spot for a tripod.

Says it records for up to 4 hours.

I did have to do a download to make it compatible with MAC

Now I just need to spend the time learning how to use it.  Luckily for me I have a teenager in the house.  Sometimes I have to have my Son give me a lesson.

If anyone has experience with one, chime in and let me know how you like yours.

Tripod Test

In an attempt to take better photos, I decided tripods are a must.

I am no expert photographer, or even a good amateur photographer.  I have no formal training (unless reading the manual counts).

  I do know, if you can't hold the camera steady, your photos are blurry.

This will be my new method for photo taking for the next several weeks.  I hope to see some improvement.

Sew-Sew Simple

Look what I received from the FedEx man yesterday. (Well the FedEx man delivered it, I had to pay for it) 

I was down to only a serger, my other two machines had finally quit on me. 

I needed something to do a basic straight stitch without a huge learning curve. 

This it what I chose, a reliable old Singer.

 Can't wait to try her out.

Nikon Camera

Look what I just bought.  (Insert Happy Dance Here). It's a Nikon Coolpiz L110.  My old Canon was starting to dye on me, the lens would no longer retract.  Maybe my photos will look better with this camera.
