Ethical Fashion Forum's Innovation Award for 2011

The EFF INNOVATION Award is an Ethical Fashion Forum initiative aimed at supporting emerging designers and businesses in the ethical fashion arena. Previous winners have included Ada Zanditon, Beautiful Soul, Christopher Raeburn, Feng Ho, Henrietta Ludgate, Lalesso, and others.

Designers and businesses are selected for awards on the basis of outstanding design and product quality, as well as innovation in relation to social and environmental sustainability.
Appplications are now open for INNOVATION 2011, which includes for the first time an INNOVATION USA category, with winners showcasing at Nolcha Fashion Week: New York 2011.

Innovation Awards for Ethical Fashion: Only Five Days Remaining to Apply

Applications are now open for the Innovation Awards for Ethical Fashion

This global initiative is a leading ethical fashion business competition, aiming to promote and support inspirational and fresh new talent in fashion design and sustainability. This year The Fairtrade Foundation has joined forces with the Ethical Fashion Forum to launch a 'Fairtrade cotton' category sponsored by Tesco. The competition will be judged by fashion model and UK Vogue blogger, Laura Bailey. Winners have the opportunity to be showcased at leading UK trade shows, and promoted to buyers and press. The winner of the Fairtrade Cotton Award will be invited to work with the F&F brand at Tesco.

Deadline for applications is Sunday, June 13, 2010 at 1700.

There will only be a few winners, but don't let this put you off. By applying to this competition your work will receive wonderful exposure and feedback. Submitting an application will increase awareness of your work - and could open new doors for you - whether or not you are shortlisted.

Why is the apparel industry in Africa so important? This seminar focuses on the specific challenges and opportunities related to sourcing for fashion products from a range of locations in Africa. Through case studies, the event will give an insight into how different sourcing models , products and businesses have maximised benefits to communities and minimised environmental impact.
